So far today, I have used water not just to shower but also to run my dishwasher, to wash two batches of laundry (the third is being washed right now), and to wash (and entertain) a dirty toddler.
Oh, and then there's all those times I've washed my hands and I'm sure the toilet has been flushed more than once....
I have not had to walk down to the river and lug a single bucket of water up to my house in order to do all these things, thanks to indoor plumbing! How blessed I am compared to so many people in the world.
Well, now I need to give the dog a bath. He is sporting a bright orange spot on his otherwise snowy coat, thanks to the half-melted marshmallow from Seth's lucky charms that got stuck in his fur.
I am so thankful for hot, running water!
What modern conveniences are you thankful for?

I'm a wimp too. I can't stand cold water. I seriously think I would die if I had to shower in cold water. Cute photos and good post. I am grateful for microwaves and garage door openers and washing machines and computers and dishwashers and cars, etc. etc.
It must be genetic, I shower in scalding water I think. I'm very very grateful for water, running hot and cold water and plenty of water available. We're so spoiled! I'm just as grateful for central air- I'm a wimp about cold air too.
Oh, and if you go back and read the comments on my last post, I explain the Allspark, it's a Transformers thing.
Tim thinks I use scalding water--maybe it's a girl thing? I am grateful for indoor plumbing for sure! I am grateful for anything our modern homes house since most of the world hasn't a clue and are happy if they have food. I am grateful for $5 pizza and dollar menus too!
